Yesterday, a private tour of the Sistine Chapel with its director, Arnold Nesselrath, a shaggy sort of art historian who has worked at the Vatican for 25 years. If the Pope wants new pictures in his apartment, he calls Arnold! We made our way down the many corridors, stepped into the Sistine, and there was SR. COSIMO ROSSELLI high up on a wall peering down at us, handsome as ever! Three of his magnificent frescoes, two directly across from each other, shone in the low light. The director is sad that the public can't get it straight that Michelangelo did not paint the entire chapel. And, si si, Arthur was so happy he rose up like Adam, touching God's finger!
