In the Tuscan countryside

RestoredfarmWhile in Florence, we took a trip within a trip and spent a weekend with art historian Ann Padua Rizzo and her husband, Vincenzo, at their country farmhouse. Anna conducts extensive research on Cosimo Rosselli. You can imagine how much she and Arthur chatted (in Italian). Anna and Vincenzo restored this beauty in the Tuscan hills outside of San Miniato, about an hour from Florence. What hospitality! While Anna produced delicious meals, Vincenzo acted as gracious host and chauffered us about. The welcome quiet soothed two travellers’ souls.
