Each summer, Loving Art flees to the cool Blue Ridge mountains of Western North Carolina. There, we take in gorgeous Appalachian arts and tour the fine crafts schools nestled in the mountainsides. One of our favorite haunts is Black Mountain, North Carolina, where we research the defunct Black Mountain College, an experiment in art and education in the 40s and 50s with roots in Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
